Frequently asked questions.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Upon arriving at our studio, you will be given the option of a free topical anesthetic while you relax and enjoy free refreshments in our waiting area. If you haven’t done so already on your patient portal, you will review the required materials and consent for treatments. We will then move you to a private room where we will discuss your aesthetic concerns and desires. Recommendations will be given for your personalized treatment plan including benefits/risks and exact cost prior to receiving treatments. At this point, you can either continue with treatment or return for a future visit.
Where are you located?
We are located at 19236 Meadow View Drive Suite 1 Hagerstown, MD 21742. We share a building with Center for Dermatology and Elevated Health & Wellness, LLC.
Do I need a consult?
A consult is always completed prior to any treatment. However, if you prefer to only come for a consultation and do NOT want treatment on the same day, please choose “Consult Only” on our booking site.
If you likely want treatment on the same day of your consultation, please select your desired treatment Botox® etc., Dermal Filler, PDO, Kybella®, Sculptra®, Duo, or Trio-Treatments. Please keep in mind that treatment plans may be adjusted at your appointment. Security deposits are required for booking these services but will be refunded if treatment is not for you.
Can I receive more than one treatment during my appointment?
YES! Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, dermal fillers, and PDO threads can all be administered during the same visit but can also be scheduled as individual appointments if you prefer.
However, the following services must be scheduled as individual appointments:
Kybella®
Sculptra®
Morpheus8® or Morpheus8 Body®
Intense Pulsed Ligh (IPL) - Lumecca®
Laser Hair Removal - DiolazeXL®
PLEASE READ… While Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, dermal fillers, and PDO threads can all be scheduled as individual appointments, if you prefer same-day multiple treatments please select DUO (Tox & FIller) or TRIO (Tox, Filler, PDO) Treatments. For example, A patient would select DUO Treatment if they would like to have Botox®, Dysport®, or Xeomin® in addition to Dermal Fillers.
What is the difference between Filler and Botox?
Botox®, Dysport, Xeomin and Dermal fillers are both injectables used to improve appearance. Neuromodulators are injected to soften fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily relaxing muscle movement. While fillers are injected to fill wrinkles.
Do I need Botox or Filler?
It depends on what you are hoping to achieve. Fillers are used to plump or contour various locations of the face. They are also used to treat static wrinkles which are wrinkles at rest. Botox® helps treat wrinkles that occur with muscle movement.
What does Botox do?
Over the years, your muscles contract in specific, habitual ways causing folds or wrinkles. Botox® is able to block signals between the nerves and these muscles causing them to temporarily relax thus resulting in softer wrinkles.
Botox® is administered using a very small needle that is inserted just into the muscles that underlie the skin. Most report minimal to no discomfort.
What does Filler do?
Dermal FIllers consist of a gel-like consistency that is injected into various areas of the face to plump, contour, refresh and diminish the appearance of wrinkles. Fillers can improve the appearance of the lips and other regions of the face to help balance or define your beauty.
Will I have any downtime?
Typically no. While there can be some minor redness and swelling with Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® these symptoms typically resolve within 30 minutes. Dermal filler, PDO Threads, and Sculptra® depending on the location can cause minor redness and swelling. While most do not have noticeable swelling (excluding lips), symptoms can last on average 24 hours to two weeks. Arnica tablets are recommended to significantly reduce bruising and swelling. You may start 3 days prior to treatment by taking 5 tablets each day and continue up to 5 days after treatment. You will also be given take-home Arnica gel to use after your treatment which can be applied as often as you would like. With Kybella you can expect to have more obvious swelling for days to weeks after each treatment session.
***Please do not schedule treatments within 3 weeks of any major event(s).

Without clearance from your prescribing physician, we will not be able to treat you.
If you suffer from frequent cold sores or HSV outbreaks, please contact your primary care provider or Eden Luxe, LLC for a prophylactic prescription of Valtrex.
